Muscat – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that the Republic of Azerbaijan has officially exempted citizens of Oman from entry visa requirements. This diplomatic development, aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and enhancing tourism, came into effect on February 15, 2026 and is scheduled to remain in place until February 15, 2027. Under the new regulations, Omani nationals are permitted to enter and reside within Azerbaijani territory for a period of up to thirty days without the necessity of a prior visa. This privilege is granted for up to three separate visits within a single calendar year. The Ministry has underscored that travellers must ensure their passports remain valid for a minimum of six months from the date of entry. Furthermore, all visitors are required to hold valid health insurance coverage for the entire duration of their stay to ensure compliance with local regulations.
