Muscat – British Embassy in Oman has issued an emergency security alert for its citizens currently residing in or visiting the Sultanate of Oman. In an official statement released on Sunday, authorities have advised all British nationals in the city of Duqm to shelter in place immediately due to an unspecified security situation. Furthermore, the advisory extends to those located in Salalah or within a 100 km radius of the city. Individuals in these southern regions are urged to leave as soon as possible or, if travel is not feasible, to remain in a secure indoor location. All British citizens in the affected areas are instructed to avoid travel, stay indoors, and closely monitor official updates while following the guidance provided by local Omani authorities.
