CBSE postpones board exams in Middle East regions

New Delhi – Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced the postponement of Class X and Class XII board examinations across several Middle East nations. According to a circular issued by the Controller of Examinations, Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj, the decision affects students in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. The board reached this decision following a critical review of the current situation within these specific regions. Consequently, all examinations previously scheduled for March 5 and 6, have been deferred. The authorities have stated that new dates for these specific papers will be communicated at a later time. A further review of the situation is planned for Thursday to determine the status of examinations scheduled from March 7 onwards. The board has advised all affected students to remain in close contact with their respective schools for the latest updates and to monitor official announcements. Copies of the notification have been dispatched to Indian Ambassadors across the Middle East to ensure coordinated action.
