Dhofar Municipality announces temporary traffic diversion on Sultan Qaboos Street

Dhofar – Dhofar Municipality, in strategic coordination with the Royal Oman Police, has announced a temporary diversion of traffic flow for motorists using Sultan Qaboos Street. This essential adjustment to the road network is scheduled to commence on Thursday, February 12, and will remain in effect for a duration of 15 days, concluding on February 27. The measure has been implemented to facilitate necessary works while ensuring the continued movement of commuters within the region. Under the new traffic arrangements, motorists approaching from the east are advised to utilise the designated diversion path located immediately after the Abdullah Al Tuhami Mosque. For those travelling from the west towards the Dahariz area, the diversion route begins after the Al Hosn Roundabout, directing traffic towards the beach side. Comprehensive signage and alternative routes have been mapped out to guide road users through these temporary changes efficiently. Authorities have urged all road users to exercise heightened caution and strictly adhere to the provided traffic instructions and guidance for the duration of the works.
