Muscat – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik held telephonic talks on Monday with Joseph Aoun, President of the Lebanese Republic; Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic; and Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The discussions focused on the latest developments surrounding the ongoing military escalation in the region and its implications for regional and international security and stability. During the calls, the leaders underscored the urgent need for coordinated international efforts to de-escalate tensions, halt further escalation, and prioritise dialogue and diplomacy. They stressed that constructive engagement remains essential to containing the crisis and reinforcing peace and stability for the peoples of the region.
