Muscat – Muscat Municipality has issued a formal reminder to the public regarding the collective responsibility of maintaining the cleanliness of the Sultanate’s coastline. Emphasising that Oman’s beaches are a direct reflection of the nation’s natural heritage and shared social values, the authority has called upon both residents and tourists to take an active role in environmental conservation. The municipality underscored the importance of proper waste management, instructing beachgoers to ensure all litter is collected and disposed of in the designated bins provided at various sites. Beyond individual accountability, the authority is encouraging the community to participate in organised volunteer clean-up initiatives. These collaborative efforts are viewed as essential to protecting the marine ecosystem and ensuring that the natural beauty of the Omani shores remains preserved for future generations.
