Nearly 80kg of unfit food destroyed in South Sharqiyah

South Sharqiyah – The South Sharqiyah Municipality has intensified its regulatory oversight through a comprehensive inspection campaign targeting local food establishments. This initiative is part of an ongoing commitment to bolster food safety standards and safeguard public health within the community. During the recent operations, municipal inspectors visited a total of 35 food outlets to ensure strict adherence to approved health regulations. The crackdown resulted in the issuance of 9 health violations and the filing of 7 destruction reports. Consequently, authorities disposed of 79.596 kg of food items deemed unfit for human consumption.
