2026-03-09 - 17:37

Muscat – Oman Air has reaffirmed its commitment to international travellers having flown more than 97,000 passengers over the past week, while adding nearly 80 extra flights to accommodate a sharp rise in travel demand. While ongoing regional challenges and temporary airspace restrictions affected a few routes, the airline confirmed that the majority of its international network remains fully operational. Flights across key destinations in Europe, South-East Asia and Africa continue to operate as scheduled, with additional frequencies introduced wherever operational conditions allow. To assist travelers further, the airline has also coordinated supplementary bus services for passengers crossing the land border from the United Arab Emirates into the sultanate, enabling them to connect smoothly with onward flights from Muscat. Meanwhile, Oman Airports has introduced new measures to enhance passenger services and strengthen business aviation operations at Muscat International Airport. A dedicated ticketing counter for Oman Air has been opened at Entrance C in the Departures Area, allowing travellers to book or modify flights directly at the airport, easing congestion and improving the overall travel experience. In parallel, Oman Airports, in cooperation with Transom, confirmed that private jet and business aviation operations continue normally at Muscat International Airport. Operators and visitors using private flights can expect full facilitation and high-standard services, with a specialised support team available to assist business aviation movement.
