Oman condemns US ambassador’s statements on occupied territories

Muscat – Oman has expressed its vehement condemnation and denunciation of recent statements made by the United States Ambassador to Israel regarding the unlawful acceptance of control over Arab lands, including the occupied Palestinian territories. In an official statement released by Foreign Ministry on Sunday, Oman declared its categorical rejection of such remarks, describing them as a direct violation of international law and the United Nations Charter. The Ministry further emphasised that these assertions undermine global peace efforts and pose a significant threat to the security and stability of the Middle East. Reiterating its long-standing diplomatic position, the Sultanate reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination. The Ministry called for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, and urged for the complete end of the occupation of all Arab lands.
