Oman participates in UN Tourism Regional Commission in Kuwait

Kuwait – The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, is participating in the 52nd UN Tourism Regional Commission for the Middle East, currently being held in Kuwait. The three-day summit, which runs from February 10 to 12, serves as a pivotal platform for regional leaders to discuss the strategic future of the tourism industry. The Omani delegation is engaging in high-level discussions aimed at fostering regional cooperation and identifying emerging trends that will drive sustainable growth across the sector. A central focus of this year’s agenda is the integration of modern technology, particularly the role of artificial intelligence in enhancing tourism services and operational efficiency. Delegates are also exploring unified strategies to balance rapid economic expansion with the preservation of natural and cultural resources. By participating in this prestigious assembly, Oman reaffirms its commitment to international collaboration and the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
