Ramadan slaughterhouse timings announced for Seeb and Amerat

Muscat – Muscat Municipality has announced revised operating hours for slaughterhouses in Seeb and Amerat during Ramadan, as part of efforts to ensure smooth service and accommodate increased demand from businesses and the public. According to the Ramadan schedule, slaughtering services for companies and meat shops will be available daily from 6am to 9am, while individual customers will be served from 4pm to 9pm. On Fridays, the slaughterhouses will operate in two shifts – from 6am to 11am and from 2pm to 4pm – offering greater flexibility for customers. The municipality said the regulated timings aim to streamline operations, ease crowding and enhance efficiency during the peak Ramadan period, when demand for slaughtering and meat preparations typically rises. Officials reaffirmed that all services will continue to follow approved health, safety and inspection standards to ensure hygiene and public health. The move comes as preparations are stepped up for Ramadan, a season that usually sees increased activity across markets and households.
