ROP announce road closures for Tour of Oman stage 3

Muscat – The Royal Oman Police (ROP) Directorate of Relations and Security Information has issued a formal notice regarding partial traffic closures and parking restrictions scheduled for Monday, February 9. These measures are being implemented to facilitate the safe passage of the third stage of the Tour of Oman. The race is scheduled to commence at 10:05 a.m. from the Al-Fayha area in Samail, located within the Dakhliyah Governorate. From the starting point, competitors will proceed onto Sultan Thuwaini bin Said Road before transitioning to the Wadi Muharram exit and continuing along Wadi Andam Road. The route subsequently requires a right turn onto Al-Quraitain Road, leading the cyclists toward the Wilayat of Izki. Upon reaching Izki, the peloton will turn right onto Al-Rahba Road, navigating through the Ghabra Nizwa area toward Wadi Kamah. The course continues through Al-Hawta Cave in the Wilayat of Al-Hamra and enters Tanouf. The third stage is set to conclude with a demanding ascent to Musfah Al-Abriyin. Authorities have strictly prohibited parking on both sides of the roads bordering the entire race route. The Royal Oman Police urges all motorists to plan their journeys accordingly and cooperate with traffic marshals to ensure the safety of the athletes and the public.
