Muscat – Royal Oman Police (ROP) have issued an official request for citizens and residents to remain vigilant regarding the presence of drones or similar aerial objects. Security authorities are calling for the immediate reporting of any such sightings observed in the national airspace or in the vicinity of vital facilities. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance public security and ensure the safety of the community through active cooperation with the relevant authorities. Members of the public who observe suspicious aerial activity are advised to contact the authorities directly using the dedicated WhatsApp number 77720078. When filing a report, individuals should specify the exact location and, if possible, attach a photograph to assist officials in coordinating a rapid response and taking any necessary actions. Furthermore, the police have explicitly requested that individuals refrain from circulating or sharing any captured photos or videos on social media platforms or other public channels.
