Muscat – The National Platform for Suggestions, Complaints, and Reports, known as “Tajawob,” has achieved significant milestones in fostering community engagement and enhancing government performance. Since its inception, the platform has recorded over 1.7 mn visits and attracted 629,000 active users, underscoring its role as a vital digital link between the Sultanate’s citizens and its institutions. By the end of January 2026, the platform processed a total of 156,000 submissions. This data includes more than 63,000 complaints, 53,000 reports, 12,000 suggestions, and 27,000 inquiries. In a strategic move to improve accessibility, the Tajawob mobile application was launched in September 2025, garnering over 40,000 downloads and maintaining a high user rating of 4.4 out of 5. This digital expansion ensures that various segments of society can easily contribute to the continuous improvement of public services. Currently, 54 government entities are integrated into the platform, operating under a unified organizational framework that ensures systematic handling of all submissions. This collaborative approach has already yielded tangible results across several sectors. For instance, the Ministry of Education introduced student absence notifications and a school health guide following public feedback. Similarly, Muscat Municipality addressed traffic congestion near the Markaz Al Bahja Centre in Seeb, while the Ministry of Information launched age-appropriate content classification for children on the “Ayn” platform. Other notable successes include the launch of the Oman Maritime Portal by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, and the digitisation of family documentation by the Royal Oman Police. These achievements are now highlighted in a dedicated “Success Stories” section on the platform’s website. Looking ahead, Tajawob plans to introduce voice recording features and enhanced request classification tools to further streamline the user experience and maintain the Sultanate’s commitment to transparency and institutional excellence.
